Marrige

Marriage

Young marriage is often criticized especially after decades of years high divorce rates in this country.

I usually agree to this opinion. I think it is appropriate to marry between ages 27 to 35.

I have to admit there are some exceptions.

This couple I know Kala and Michael. They started dating when they were in high school and married junior year in college.

Michael and Kala are both very smart. Michael graduated college in ophthalmology, continued to stay in graduate program to became a doctor. Kala started in biology which I used to love, too lol. She switched to nursing major and got into better school. Graduated year behind than normal students due to changing major and school. She started working in ER. Now she is back to school for master so she will be able to prescribe medication.

I think this couple is pretty amazing. Marriage is a commitment. Sometimes, it gives us impression of giving up of each other’s freedom.

The case of Michael and Kala is unique because they started dated so young. They have been through all the process to get into school to think about the future together, and always supported each other. Studying together, spending time separately don’t probably bother them. Plus they have quality of trust.

Girl like me or many girl friends of mine would think that separation of place mostly means that end of relationship. When we were younger, we thought love last forever, and long distance relationship could be romantic. As we became older, got experience to manage feelings and things turned out realistic.

Many of my best friends are already married. There is no reason for me to be rushed but I started wondering what best marrige really is.
